Abstract

The blend films of poly(4-vinyl pyridine) (P4VP) core-polystyrene (PS) shell microsphere and poly(methacrylic acid) (PMAA) core-PS shell microsphere were prepared from benzene solutions. When the diameters of the two types of the microsphere were close, the two types were placed at random in the film. When the diameter of the P4VP core was much larger than that of PMAA core, the P4VP core-PS shell-type microspheres were ordered hexagonally in two-dimensional state in the solid state. However, an ordering regularity of the PMAA core-PS shell-type microspheres was not observed.
