Abstract

Low-frequency acoustics is used to study the β-δ phase transition in the vanadium hydride VH0.73. It is established that the nature of the transition depends significantly on the degree of perfection of the crystal structure of the hydride. It is shown that such behavior can be attributed to long-period ordering in the investigated system.
