Abstract

The orbital Kondo effect in an Aharonov–Bohm interferometer with an inter-dot coupling is studied using the equation of motion method. We calculated the occupancy of the dots for finite Coulomb and infinite Coulomb interaction. We showed that the occupancy of the dot is essential for the occurrence of the orbital Kondo effect. The result obtained for the conductance has a similar dependence as the expression obtained for spin Kondo model, but a supplementary dependence of dot occupation appears. The Fano line is also enhanced and we calculated the parameter which is compared to the result from the case of spin Kondo effect.
