Abstract

Smoking, alcohol, and old age are known risk factors for oral tongue squamous cell carcinoma (OTSCC). While OTSCC in nonsmoking and nondrinking young patients has been described as having an aggressive phenotype, risk factors and oncological outcomes of this cancer are poorly understood. The purpose of this study was to characterize outcomes of OTSCC in young, non-smoking, non-drinking patients compared to older patients.
