Abstract

Oral language development allows children's cognitive learning from their educational beginnings. In the work, the objective was to design a system of activities for developing oral language in 5-year-old children, allowing them to improve their skills for effective communication. The research was carried out under a mixed and descriptive approach, allowing a complete analysis of the phenomenon to be considered. The instruments applied were the interview with teachers and observation sheet for children of 5 years. The results indicated that the institution's teachers carry out activities aimed at developing oral language. However, they need an organized and feasible system for this problem. It was observed that children retain information from the activities carried out in playful games. It was concluded that the design of activities will undoubtedly improve oral ability from the beginning of initial education.
