Abstract

RATIONALE: Oral immunotherapy (OIT) with food allergens results in desensitization, but permanent tolerance induction has not yet been demonstrated. Oral tolerance can be generated in mice and humans to a neo-antigen, but not a recall antigen. Our aim was to establish a mouse model of OIT to examine mechanisms of tolerance induction.
