Abstract

The optoelectronic and thermoelectric properties of 4-dimethylaminopyridine flexible compound are investigated by combining the full-potential linearized augmented-plane wave method and the Boltzmann transport theory. The flat bands are observed around the Fermi energy in the band structure which is implying that this organic polymer may be used in the superconductivity devices. It is found that this polymer has the birefringence property in the low energies. Obtained Plasmon energy can be compared to the available experimental and theoretical data for good optical materials. Thermoelectric figure of merit is predicted about 0.98 which result suggest a new application of this polymer in the thermoelectric devices.
