Abstract
1. In order to increase the penetrating ability of grouts, to augment the radius of propagation, and to improve the effectiveness of grouting operations, the cements to be utilized in the grouts must be subjected to additional grinding. 2. The optimum degree of dispersion for which it is possible to achieve effective grouting of sandy soils may be established by determining the diameter of the penetrating particles by applying, Eq. (7). 3. The relationship derived here may be utilized for determining the diameters of the components of cementsand grouts in separate concreting of structures.
