Abstract

Linear dispersion decreasing fiber (LDDF) profiles has been found nearly optimum in regards to the pulse width (63fs) of the compressed pulse. Based on ultrashort soliton compression a comparative study has been carried out among dispersion compensating fiber (DCF), fiber Bragg grating (FBG) and LDDF. Considering higher order effects compression of higher-order solitons, produces high-quality compressed pulses in femtosecond regime. Nonlinear Schrodinger equation (NLSE) has been solved using split-step Fourier (SSF) method for numerical analysis of ultrashort soliton propagation and compression.
