Abstract

Development of the electrical distribution system for a modern chlor-alkali plant is described starting from the conceptual design stage and continuing through final equipment design. Emphasis is on the electric utility interface, main plant substation, 13.8 kV distribution system, rectifier design and control, and DC bus design. Load flow, voltage regulation, and harmonic studies are discussed.< <ETX xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">></ETX>
