Abstract

This paper explores the optimization of RF-DC converters, focusing on the impacts of the input power on the design of the impedance matching networks. In order to implement this analysis, a source pull simulation was performed, and two circuits were designed to compare its behaviours. This analysis made it possible to conclude that when using a voltage multiplier as the RF-DC solution, the diode requires high reactance at the source for low input power values but for high input powers, the diode requires an impedance approaching a very low impedance. Both high and low input power circuits achieved approximately 40 % efficiency.
