Abstract

Three movement speeds (400, 800, and 1200 msec.) were examined to ascertain the optimal condition under which differing intellectual and developmental groups might acquire an arm-movement task. Parallel acquisition was observed only at the two slower speeds (800 and 1200 msec.), hence the faster of these (800 msec.) was deemed to be most optimal for expanded investigation.
