Abstract

ABSTRACT When applying energy conservation measures to buildings, investment cost associated with energy savings is considered the key issue for decision makers. This article investigates how energy conservation measures relating to the building envelope affect the total building energy savings for both low and high-rise examples. In addition, the cost implication of each energy conservation measure is examined to find the most effective solution that generates the greatest energy savings and incurs the least cost.
