Abstract
Introduction: Warfighters are exposed to varying and often adverse weather conditions ranging from hot dry, warm humid, cold wet, windy, or freezing environmental conditions. Performance loss or injury may be prevented by accurate prediction and/or early diagnosis of individuals at risk and providing mitigation measures. That is, harsh environments require appropriate behavioural actions and use of protective clothing and equipment; otherwise, performing a mission can quickly turn into fighting for survival1.
