Abstract

Lin et al. [1] report a study titled “Optimizing chimerism level through bone marrow transplantation and irradiation to induce long-term tolerance to composite tissue allotransplanatation.” They investigated how mixed allogenic chimerism relates to graft-versus-host disease (GVHD), long-term composite tissue allotransplantation acceptance, and regulatory T-cell levels in a conventional allobone marrow transplant rat model using different radiation doses.
