Abstract

In this paper, a double-layer and a three-layer absorbers of the flaky Fe/PU and the graphite/PU composites are designed for achieving a wide-frequency microwave absorption (MA) at a thin thickness. The minimum reflection loss and the maximum effective absorption bandwidth reach −80.05 dB and 9.24 GHz in the double-layer absorber with a total thickness of 2.2 mm, even up to −84.73 dB and 9.73 GHz in the three-layer absorber at a total thickness of 2.1 mm, showing that it is effective to enhance the MA intensity and widen the MA bandwidth by multilayer structure of the magnetic Fe micro-flakes and the dielectric graphite.
