Abstract
This paper proposes a low cost, and efficient way of water quality monitoring system and controlled usage of water based on IoT (Internet of Things) and WSN (Wireless Sensor Network). This system is divided into two subunits. First subunit monitors water quality known by QMS (Quality Monitoring System). And second subunit controls the usage of water at consumer end known by CU (Control unit). These water quality attributes are monitored visually at Thingspeak IoT platform as well as necessary actions will be taken when water quality attributes do not satisfy the standard water quality parameter values. Also water usage and water leakage is observed at individual consumer end on Blynk mobile application and necessary action will be taken when consumer crosses specified water consumption threshold value.
