Abstract
Container liner companies have paid very high costs for empty container repositioning. This paper researches the optimization of empty container repositioning from the angle of reducing costs, makes use of the linear programming method, and formulates a model for in and out of ports or transferring empty containers. The model is reasonable and useful to solve these issues of empty container repositioning. There is also a new quantitative analysis method for the problem of single product low price.
