Abstract

An optimization of the performant inter-symbol interference (ISI) free POWER pulse generated by an improved Nyquist filter with a power-exponential frequency characteristic is presented. The performance of the POWER pulse is studied with respect to the ISI error probability, in the presence of timing error. In this article we show the necessity to apply an optimization scheme for the presented results, and provide an analysis of the optimized results. Furthermore, we identify some challenge in implementing the studied POWER pulse.
