Abstract

We have used the teaching–learning-based optimization (TLBO) algorithm to design the plasmonic nano-rods in order to achieve the maximum absorption coefficient spectrum. In TLBO, a group of learners controls the nano-rod radius, the nano-rods distance, and the number of nano-rods in two dimensions. This approach is useful in optical applications such as solar cell and plasmonic nano antenna.
