Abstract

We analyze the influence of structural transformations in the nickel phase during the processes of onetime reduction and redox cycling at a temperature of 600°C on the formation of strength and electric conductivity of YSZ–NiO ceramics for the anodes-substrates of solid-oxide fuel cells obtained by using the technology of cladding of YSZ powders with nickel oxide. After the redox treatment, we get structures guaranteeing the improved physical and mechanical characteristics of the material.
