Abstract

Abstract: The article is devoted to analysis of clinical data, psychological status, methods of rehabilitation of 225 patients aged 25 to 45, suffering from myopathic paresis of the vocal muscles. In the given research peculiarities of voice disorders were detected, main reasons of pathology and typical comorbidity were described. Methodology of the study included observation, clinical investigations of patients by indirect laryngoscopy and laryngostroboscopy, auditive assessment of voice, assessment of physiological and phonation breathing. A specially designed questionnaire was used to study psychological status of patients, analysis of out-patient medical records was done. The main reasons of voice pathology included voice overstrain (49,8%), active use of voice after acute respiratory infection (21,3%), emotional stress (16%) or combination of factors (12,4%). The most common accompanying chronic pathologies included respiratory diseases (in 36,9% of the sample), gastrointestinal diseases (in 30,7% of patients), hypertensive disease (23,1%) and endocrine system diseases (9,3%). 56,9% of patients were detected to have anxiety, particularly it was typical for women. Tactics of rehabilitative activities for patients with myopathic paresis and vocal fold paralysis must be aimed at increase of laryngeal muscle tone and should take into consideration peculiarities of the detected pathology, duration of the disorder, comorbidity and psychological status of the patient. The results received in the study were applied for the development of the certain order of rehabilitative measures for patients with myopathic paresis and vocal fold paralysis, combination of pharmaceutical and phoniatric therapy, individual approach for every patient with participation of a phoniatrist, an otolaryngologist, a therapist, a psychologist and a vocal teacher.
