Abstract
Abstract Powder Metallurgy (PM) process is one of the manufacturing method in which powders are pressed in die into product shape. The PM has convinced exceptional benefits such as controlled porosity, high Strength to weight ratio. Aluminium (Al) is a light weight metal and aluminium alone, not acquire a superior strength. Hence, to accomplish the strength, Molybdenum tri-oxide (MoO3) powders are added at required proportions to produce aluminium alloy (AA7072) matrix composites. Aluminium along with MoO3 confirms fine mechanical properties. An effort is made to optimize the powder metallurgy process parameters of Al-MoO3 composite to attain hardness. The Taguchi’s method was used to optimize the parameters. By Taguchi method, it was identified that weight percentage of MoO3 and compaction pressure were the most influencing parameters
