Abstract

The automatic speed control system of a freight train with distributed traction should comply with a number of requirements. One of them is that the required control quality must be achieved. For this purpose, control quality indicators that characterize the proposed control system have been chosen and a technique for optimizing the control system has been developed. Taking into account the specific characteristics of the control object, it has been revealed that the optimal parameters for each mode of train motion, including traction, speed stabilization, and braking, need to be determined.
