Abstract

Abstract Wire-cut Electrical discharge machining process [WEDM] is used in manufacturing industries to machine conductive and hard materials like metal matrix composites, ceramic composites and super alloys, which are having enormous applications in space craft, defense, transportation vehicles, micro systems, farm machinery etc. Aluminum based ceramic particle reinforced metal matrix materials is one of the key factor in producing composites, which enhances mechanical and thermal properties. These Composites (Al-MMCs) owing to having higher strength and stiffness are suitable for variety of engineering applications The current paper reviews the optimization of WEDM machining parameters, responses by deploying different techniques.
