Abstract

In the paper, based on the assumptions that the shortage can be completely backordered and the imperfect products can be completely repaired, the production inventory model is presented and further investigated in the fuzzy environment. Different kinds of parameters in the production inventory model are treated as nonnegative trapezoidal fuzzy numbers. The optimal production quantity is derived by minimizing the defuzzified total production inventory cost per cycle. Finally, the numerical example is provided to illustrate the characteristic of the model.
