Abstract
Global warming has been a problem not only for advanced country, but also for developing country since COP15 was held. There-fore, R&D of clean energy like fuel cells is accelerated drastically. Meanwhile, the disposal of soy sauce cake is also important issue in Japan because it has rich sulfur and chlorine. There¬fore, we propose the gasification system of the soy sauce cake using molten salt. Moreover, this gasification gas is used as a fuel gas for MCFC which use same molten salts as an electrolyte. This paper elucidates about the fundamental gasification characteristics of soy sauce cake by optimizing the gasifying agent gas composition, and examines the influence of the gasification gas on the MCFC characteristic. As a result, the gasification is promoted when air is mixed with the gasifying agent, because molten salts temperature and the reactivity between soy sauce cake, gasifying agent and molten salts elevate.
