Abstract

A series of optimization experiments were conducted on programed temperature rates, injection mode and the inlet temperature to explore an optimum whole oil gas-chromatography experimental method for the tight oil in Jimsar sag, Junggar Basin. The results showed that the quality and quantity of the gas-chromatography fingerprint peaks were significantly improved by setting the programed temperature rate at 3–5 °C/min; splitting injection at a certain split ratio; setting the inlet temperature at 350 °C; increasing the oven temperature to 370 °C.
