Abstract

Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymers (GFRP) are widely used composite in the arena of automobile and aircraft body fabrication. Aim of this paper is to optimizedrilling parameters for GFRP with multi-objective of Delamination Factor (DF) and Surface Roughness (Ra and Rz) using Grey Relational Analysis (GRA) and Taguchi method. The drilling experiment is designed using Taguchi L 27 (313) orthogonal array with cutting speed, feed rate and drill diameter as the input factors at three different levels. The ANOVA result reveals that the cutting speed is the most significant process parameter which influences the Delamination Factor (DF) and Surface Roughness (Ra and Rz) respectively.
