Abstract

This experimental work is done to calculate mechanical &durability characteristics of the concrete blocks, during which cement is partially substituted with fly ash 50% & Manufacture- sand was partially substituted with foundry sand upto the percentage of 15. compression strength test has been done to find out the mechanical characteristics of the blocks at the time of 7 days and 28 days. Durability characteristics, chloride ion penetration tests and water absorption tests are done. The test result shown the increase in strength and durability characteristics of the blocks with the replacement of fly ash and the foundry sand. The results have been optimized by using RSM (Response surface methodology) and the response models (optimum results) have been developed using the experimental results. From models were validated using the ANOVA (Analysis of variance).
