Abstract

In this paper, a closed-loop supply chain (CLSC) network model using hybrid genetic algorithm (HGA) for tire industry in Korea is proposed. In the proposed CLSC network model, various facilities which can be used in forward logistics (FL) and reverse logistics (RL) are taken into consideration. To optimize the proposed CLSC network model, various operational strategies are considered. A mathematical formulation is proposed to design the proposed CLSC network model and it is implemented using HGA approach. In numerical experiment, several scales of the proposed CLSC network model are presented and they are used for comparing the performances of the proposed HGA approach and some conventional HGA approaches. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed HGA approach is more efficient in solving the proposed CLSC network model than the others.
