Abstract

The joining of metals or sheets with welding are sort of manufacturing technology which having more benefits than riveting. A better quality of joint in welding is obtained by optimizing the welding process parameters to estimate welding strength. Processing parameters of weld are welding current(I), electrode angle (A), root gap (L) were considered for this research. To check the weld strength of the metal piece after joining, we conducted destructive tests such as tensile and hardness test. In this work, two dissimilar materials stainless steels and carbon steels (LCS). Joint processes in Arc Welding (AW) have been carried out through Taguchi routine, nine samples (L1-L9) were made by changes of input factors. 308lLstainless steel has been utilized as electrode of making connections.
