Abstract

The optimum composition of the addition of aluminum and magnesium has been chosen by the parameters of the anode potential and the corrosion rate. The model was determined by multivariate regression of second-order polynomials. A suitable model was determined by comparing the coefficient of determination, the standard error of the estimate, and the significant P-value. the addition of aluminum and magnesium affects the anode potential has become even more negative. whereas at the corrosion rate, the addition of magnesium and aluminum increased and decreased the corrosion rate respectively. The optimum anode has been estimated when the addition of aluminum by 3% and magnesium by 0.1% which has a corrosion rate of 38,88 mpy and anode potential of −1,098 V
