Abstract

The successful implementation of the charging station network is crucial to the successful implementation of electric buses. In China, large-scale public charging stations that support rapid battery exchanging were applied to adopt the charging demand for electric buses. It is necessary to learn more about the location method for the electric bus charging stations to update traditional traffic planning rules and methods. This paper proposed a study to establish an optimization model for locating electric bus charging stations that intends to solve two problems: (a) where to build the charging stations and (b) the scale of each station. The findings are valuable to assist the construction of charging infrastructures and electric bus applications.
