Abstract

In the middle and later period of tight sandstone gas reservoir exploitation, there are so many Intermittent wells, but the contribution of production is very low. How to improve the time rate of intermittent wells and utilize productivity of Wells as much as possible, is a huge problem to be solved urgently. So, this paper studies on the mechanism of intermittent wells of tight sandstone gas reservoir, according to the theoretical research of laboratory test, numerical simulation and intermittent production test in the live. Based on the production data of intermittent wells in Sulige gas field, this paper forecasts the change of cumulative production of wells, before and after intermittent production, which is used to determine the timing of Intermittent production. Furthermore, this paper researches the relationship between pressure recovery time when wells is shut-in and increase in production based on Well testing theory and superposition principle, and create the optimization chart of production system, which is used to optimize opening and shut in time of different types wells. The research results has been applied in Sulige gas field of tight sandstone gas reservoir and achieved good application effect: increasing output by 500 m3 per day and per well, and the rate of well opening by 10%, which guarantees the efficient and stable production of intermittent wells and is of great significance to the rational development and sustained stable production of gas field.KeywordsTight gas reservoirIntermittent wellsMechanism of Intermittent productionTiming of Intermittent productionOptimization of production systemSulige gas field
