Abstract

To optimize the composition for a task collaborated by multiple machine tools in a cloud manufacturing (CMfg) environment, one method was proposed from the perspective of the demand side and with multiple constraints such as task scheduling, idle time window of machine tools and service quality (QoS) target taken into consideration. This method was to establish an evaluation system for optimization, which contained seven-dimensional objective components; to construct a multi-objective optimization model for composition under task timing constraints and limited idle time window constraints of machine tools in cloud service, and solve it with the improved ant colony optimization algorithm; finally to verify the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed method through an application example.
