Abstract

To decrease the weight of the landing gear and expand the application area of the optimization method with fatigue life constraint in complex mechanisms, the optimization models of the landing gear with fatigue life and stress as constraints are established, respectively. The comparison results show that the optimization results with fatigue life as a constraint are more reasonable, as stress and life requirements of the landing gear can be taken into account simultaneously. Finally, the static test was carried out to verify the accuracy of the optimization results. Test results indicate that the optimization method based on fatigue life constraint has good applicability and application value in practical engineering.
