Abstract

To improve the grafting productivity and the healing survival rate of later grafted seedlings, the cutting device of the cucurbit vegetable grafting machine was designed. The ear wood and stock in the suitable grafting period were selected as the experimental objects for the cutting test. The influence of different cutting methods based on the sticking method on the cutting quality was studied. Taking cutting speed, cutter angle, and blade thickness as test factors, cutting success rate, and stalk drawing rate as test indicators, the optimal working parameters of the cutting device were determined through actual operation tests. The test results show that the cutting effect is the best when the cutting speed of the cutter of the seedling cutting device for grafting is 140 mm/s, the cutting angle of the cutter is 60°, and the thickness of the blade is 1.5 mm.
