Abstract

To improve the controlling accuracy of pile and pull conditions in tandem rolling progress, relations between filling coefficient and pile and pull coefficient were proposed, and improved pile and pull coefficient mathematical model was obtained. To verify mathematical model, 4-stands trapezoidal stainless steel sieve bar three-dimensional finite element model was established and simulated by ANSYS/LS-DYNA. Parameters, such as filling coefficient, forward slip coefficient, pile and pull coefficient, were obtained. Compared with traditional mathematical model, improved mathematical model reflects the actual pile and pull conditions, and provides a reference for new product pass design optimization and improvement.
