Abstract

In order to neutralize the various problems of productive losses, in the construction processes we want to implement the Value Stream Mapping (VSM) tool which belongs to the Lean Manufacturing philosophy that is implemented in Lean Construction, in order to have a lossless construction, this tool consists in the creation of maps that represent the procedure of the activities and information flows necessary to obtain a product in its final stage, in this case it would be to obtain a structural element. Which can help us get a diagnosis of the current state of the processes. Value Stream Mapping not only detects productive problems from its origin, it does not help you to be able to propose improvements in processes in order to eliminate the productive losses of the project in general. Once the improvement proposals have been analyzed, we will proceed to make a future status map obtaining a higher performance in the production cycle. The data obtained in the field were taken in a period of approximately 3 months in the work Bolivia Condominium No. 4848 (Multifamily Building) this data allowed to obtain the current productive performance of the processes, using the tool Value Stream Mapping proceeded to analyze the current state and develop the value flow maps to see the future state of the structural element process. For the development of the future value stream map, the improvements obtained by the Value Stream Mapping were considered, finally, it is justified that if construction processes can be improved through the Value Stream Mapping tool.
