Abstract
An essential component in the provision of location-based services to location-aware client applications is an effectively managed server-based repository of locations relevant to the transactional requirements of mobile consumers. This article describes a location-aware method of repository management, investigates the dynamics of the method's optimisation, and formulates a means by which repository managers may predict and maintain optimal levels of server performance.
