Abstract

The motivation for the present work is to design and develop an alternate power-producing cycle driven through a source of waste heat. In this research article, thermodynamic investigation has been done for waste heat-driven Organic Rankine cycle in MATLAB (2018a) software. Moreover, multi-objective optimisation and prediction analysis is done by Response Surface Methodology (RSM) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) respectively. The best performances of the organic Rankine cycle (ORC) system are achieved by 0.940 of the desirability function reflecting 38.2% of the exergetic efficiency, and 0.035 of the expander size parameter. The outcome of the present study is to set up such environment-friendly power generation techniques for the same capacity in the cement and steel industry.
