Abstract

: Supervision plays a very important role in improving the quality of learning. Supervision or supervisors have a strategic role in providing services to teachers who have difficulties or a decrease in their competence. Therefore, academic supervision is one of the important programs that must be implemented by school principals in fostering teachers to improve learning quality. The purpose of this study was to determine the improvement of learning quality through academic supervision. The research method used is descriptive qualitative method. Data collection is done through direct interviews, document analysis, and observation, collecting data from various sources both online and print media related to the research discussed. The results showed that: (1) Academic Supervision in Junior High Schools (SMP) has been carried out planning, organizing, implementing, which is guided by predetermined planning, has carried out learning evaluations, so that the level of learning quality can be known; (2) Quality of learning in Junior High Schools (SMP); (3) Optimizing academic supervision can improve the quality of learning at Al-Qolam Islamic Junior High School (SMPIT) in South Bengkulu. So it can be concluded that academic supervision can improve the quality of learning. Thus it can be suggested that if you want to improve the quality of learning, then optimize academic supervision in the school.
