Abstract

An improved quantum-behaved particle swarm optimization algorithm (QPSO) algorithm is presented to solve the optimal weapon target assignment problem for surface-to-air missile systems in this paper. The optimal weapon target assignment problem for surface-to-air missile system is a nonlinear and NP-hard optimal programming problem which is hard to be solved by traditional optimization algorithm. The improved QPSO algorithm is a hybrid optimization algorithm which combines the basic PSO algorithm, crossover-mutation operator and quantum-behaved to avoid getting into local solution. Numerical experiment for the optimal weapon target assignment problem shows the effectiveness of the improved QPSO algorithm.
