Abstract

The collector line in wind farms (WFs) voltage sags may result in tripping the WT and consequently threaten the stability and security of wind farms (WFs). In this paper, the control scheme of WFs based on topology reconfiguration is proposed to recover the voltage of faulty WTs terminals and ensure the safe operation of the large-scale WFs. During the closed-loop process of collector lines, the impedance matrices of all closed-loop schemes are pre-calculated to get an approximation of the inrush current. The closed-loop positions of collector lines are optimized based on the integer second-order cone programming by considering the contact line cost and average voltage deviation. Finally, the fault is isolated by circuit breakers to recover the flow direction of WFs. The effectiveness of the proposed closed-loop scheme is validated in Matlab.
