Abstract

Since delayed cord clamping (DCC) has become standard of care, the optimal timing of oxytocin administration relative to placenta delivery has not been established. We aimed to assess whether maternal blood loss was related to pre- vs post-placental oxytocin initiation in term vaginal (VD) and cesarean (CD) deliveries.
