Abstract

In this paper the optimum software release policies for a software reliability growth model proposed by Yamada and Osaki are determined by SLUMT technique. The optimum software release time is determined both by minimizing the total expected software cost and by satisfying a software reliability objective. Finally, the applicability for a non-homogeneous software error detection rate model is presented in comparison with the actual result of the Yamada and Osaki model.
