Abstract
Zinc hydrometallurgy is the main process for zinc smelting, while iron removal by goethite precipitation is the key process. A reasonable pH value of the solution is an important condition to generate goethite. Through analysis of production data and the characteristics of parameters of inlet conditions, this study proposed an optimal setting method for pH values with cascade reactors based on division of working conditions and expert rules. The results of industrial verification show the effectiveness of the proposed method.
