Abstract

Suppose that among k (k ⩾ 2) populations , exactly one of them has p.d.f. f and the others have p.d.f. g. The problem of correctly identifying the population with p . d . f . f based on a fixed number of observations is considered. A sifficient condition for the myopic procedure to be an optimal sequential procedure is derived.
