Abstract

With the advancements of communication technologies, various numbers of mobile devices (MDs) are growing fast. In the current 5G or future networks, MDsget network services from mobile network operators (MNOs) by paying some money. To meet the growing demand of mobile device users (MDUs), the MNOs have to expand their network capacity or use pricing tool to control the admission of MDUs such that their revenue can be maximized. In addition, the MDUs may have different evaluations for the network services. For example, some MDUs may pay more attention to the obtained reward while some ones may focus more on the network delay. In this paper, we consider a 5G networking architecture with one MNO provisioning services to MDUs whose preferences for network services are different. Simulation results are presented to analyze the obtained analysis results. The results show that the MNO can leverage the different types of MDUs to get more revenue and set higher price. This provides some important implications for the design of the 5G networking systems.
